VandalWeb is available from any computer with internet access. Navigate to VandalWeb on your internet browser. Enter your NetID and Password. This can be one of two combinations of credentials: 1 Vandal number with a capital V and six-character PIN or 2 Active Directory user name and password.

However, these credentials cannot be combined for login; use one or the other. After login you should arrive at the Main Menu and depending upon your affiliation with the university you will see a combination of the following menus:. Meet the Staff. Distance Advising. This is your username for all UI services and is the first part of your university email address.

Your username is the first four letters of your last name and four numbers. A security profile is a series of questions that only you know the answer to and one personal contact, such as a cell phone number or email address. Please do not use contacts that you are not the owner of.

Once set, you will be able to reset your password in the future without needing to call the Student Technology Center. After setting your password, click Security Questions on the left of the page. You will be prompted to set up Duo directly after signing into any U of I webpages for the first time. Choose your device type from the list of options and click Continue. Once you receive the 6-digit code to your phone, enter it into the box and click Verify. Log in to your student email by going to mail.

After you choose to either set up your security profile or not, you can set a password on the account by clicking "Change Password" under "Account Utilities. Set your password. This step is optional. You will, before you start classes, be required to setup Duo multi-factor. However, you have a 30 day grace period before you are required to set it up.
